UGANDA – School Library
The NPB Nursery and Primary School in Nsambya, Kampala was founded in 1978 with just 5 pupils. Now run by the daughter of the founder, it has grown over the years and now educates over 600 pupils. The low school fees charged for each scholar reflect the low salaries of the parents whose children attend the school so help with operating costs is necessarily a part of maintaining the school.
With the decision made to add a library to the school facilities, books have been collected in the UK and will be shipped out to Uganda. To house them a library room will be added to the school and a member of staff will be trained in library management.
Completion Report:
This was an uncomplicated Project. The library room was completed and stocked with children’s books collected in the UK and flown out to Uganda, on time during December 2019.
