A graduate of Edinburgh University, Fiona has had a long and prestigious career in travel and tourism. Her career highlights include running the World Travel Market from 1986 to 2013, during which time she became Chairman. Whilst with WTM she launched a Responsible Tourism drive, a global travel industry initiative which - now known as World Responsible Tourism Day - is a feature of WTM.
In 1998 Fiona founded Just a Drop, an international water aid charity, of which she is Chairman. Just A Drop aims to reduce child mortality by delivering accessible, clean, drinking water and sanitation to communities worldwide.
As well as Chairman of Just A Drop, Fiona is also Chair of the WTTC Tourism for Tomorrow Awards committee, sits on the UNWTO World Committee for Tourism Ethics, is Chair of the Africa Travel and Tourism Association and is a non-executive Director and tourism advisor for several businesses. In 2012 she was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen for services to travel and tourism.
With her extensive contacts throughout the charity world and her experience, with Just A Drop, of supporting community projects, we are privileged to have Fiona on board as a Project advisor for our Foundation.
