Heather McKInlay
Project Advisor
Co-Founder and Director of award-winning specialist tour operator McKinlay Kidd, Heather traces her roots in the travel industry back to the 1980s as a graduate trainee at Thomson Holidays. Professionally, Heather’s focus is on future planning and marketing, taking an analytical as well as creative approach. This means she is well-versed in assessing and evaluating information prior to decision-making. Such skills came in handy during ten years as a Justice of the Peace in Glasgow, sitting in Europe’s busiest court.
Heather is now a trustee of Quarriers, one of Scotland’s largest social care charities. Heather also volunteers as an AITO council member and is Chair of Charlton Athletic Supporters’ Trust.
In the mid-90s Heather lived in Nairobi and undertook contract work for UNICEF and the British High Commission. Heather regularly travels back to Africa and has seen first-hand the difference modest projects can make in remote rural communities.
